Remi Sadé is a writer by trade. When her daughter was 4 months old she began a blog called BooksBabyandBack. It was heavily based around her being a new parent and also university student. After sometime life changed a lot and it became apparent that she had outgrown that stage in her journey.
Although her old site has gone now, she did bring some of her previous work here.
First and foremost Remi is a Londoner at heart. She is most inspired creatively by 3 things: her city, her version of womanhood and the idea that sharing stories immortalises us all. Remi chooses to present this mainly through abstract prose loaded with references to politics, race, gender, sexuality, age, time, the world.
Being a writer has allowed her to connect with various different people through her work. Currently she is writing a book inspired by her environment and the women in it, due to be released soon.
She is one half of Alright For A Mum a podcast which focuses on the realities of modern day single parenting as a millenial. You’d be surprised at how much fun it is!
When Remi isn’t doing that she is the presenter of Make Motherhood Diverse podcast. They are an initiative who “aims to represent every experience equally, democratically, and inclusively, using the pictures mothers choose to take, and the words they choose to use.”
She can sometimes be found doing other things such as guest speaking at events, freelance writing or finding family friendly gems around the UK.
Feel welcome to get in touch with Remi via the contact page, or head over to her Instagram, where you can find her frequently posting about all things work and non work related.
